You needed to know how your application worked, how your backend communicated with your frontend, why your database wasn&amp;rsquo;t on fire, and occasionally, what the hell a WebSocket was.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Those were simpler times.&lt;/p&gt;
